Our Story: Setting a New Azimuth

At Azimuth Tiny Homes, our journey is defined by a shift in direction. The founders, Josh and Mike, with their deep experience in home construction and remodeling, recognized the need for change in the housing industry after attending a couple tiny home festivals. They saw an azimuth - a new direction - towards creating affordable, quality, and eco-friendly tiny home RV’s.

The name 'Azimuth' encapsulates this vision, representing a clear and purposeful direction in the world of orienteering. It signifies our commitment to provide value-packed, quality homes for everyone from cost-conscious penny pinchers to luxury based maximizers wishing to downsize or provide for family members.

Our dedication to building science, sustainability, and financial freedom forms the foundation of every Azimuth home. Let's set a new azimuth together towards an economically and ecologically mindful way of living.

Meet the Team

  • Founder, Designer, Builder

Meet Josh Guritz, the driving force behind Azimuth Tiny Homes LLC. His journey with wood and nails kicked off in Teller County, Colorado, framing standout homes alongside Mike. For the past decade, he's been the name behind some of Northern Colorado's most refined home transformations. But don't let the carpentry prowess fool you; Josh also boasts an impressive resume in automotive and diesel mechanics. At Azimuth, he's not just constructing houses. He's meticulously crafting safe, healthy, and stylish dwellings tailored just for you. If you've got tiny home aspirations, Josh is the craftsman to bring them into sharp, beautiful focus.

  • Founder, Master Builder

In the early '90s, a budding craftsman emerged, refining his skills by remodeling his very own homes. That craftsman? None other than Mike. Over the years, Teller County, Colorado has witnessed his expertise in creating custom homes, while various residences and commercial spaces boast his custom cabinets. Fast-forward to the last decade, and Northern Colorado has seen kitchens and bathrooms transformed under his meticulous touch. But what sets Mike apart? His unique ability to take your 2D dreams and morph them into 3D realities. He's not just about building; he's about translating visions into tangible, living spaces. And now, he's on a mission: to craft an impeccably efficient tiny home RV that's as kind to your dreams as it is to your wallet. With Mike, your dream space is waiting just around the corner.

The Power of Building Science

Building science is the largest factor when approaching the design and build of our Azimuth Tiny Home RV’s. It's not just about putting walls, floors, and roofs together; it's about creating a living space that's comfortable, efficient, and sustainable. In our tiny home RV’s, building science means smart design and construction that maximize every inch of space. It means insulation that keeps you cozy without massive heating bills, ventilation that ensures fresh air without losing energy, and materials chosen for durability and eco-friendliness. With building science, our tiny home RV’s are not just smaller – they're smarter, working in harmony with nature and your lifestyle.

 FAQs

  • All of our tiny home RV’s are custom designed and built so every home will have a different price. We have designs with prices as low as $50,000 for smaller designs all the way up to $125,000 on larger models with most of our designs falling into the $70,000 to $90,000 price range on a 8 foot wide by 24 foot long chassis. The size and layout as well as the finish materials and fixtures selections will be the determining factors for the price of a home.

  • We do not have a list of pre-designed floor plans as all of our homes are made to order. Everyone's needs and design tastes are different so we cannot expect to satisfy everyone's wants and needs with a predetermined list of floor plans.

  • A typical build timeline, from the time we have a signed contract to having the home ready for delivery, lasts 13 to 20 weeks depending on the size and complexity of the build. There is a 6 to 8 week lead time for the mobile foundation to be manufactured and 7 to 12 weeks for the home to be built.

  • We currently do not offer in house financing but plan to offer this in the future.

  • Although we will have to draw a set of plans using our design software and may have to revise some aspects of your plan to bring it into building code compliance, having your own design or even a drawn floor plan will greatly reduce the length of time of the design phase of our process.

  • All of our tiny home RV’s are constructed on mobile foundations and are technically classified as recreational vehicles.

  • Our tiny home RV’s use either a 30 amp or 50 amp power inlet for electricity, a city water hook up for water in, and a three inch RV waste gate for waste water out. We also design off grid capable homes that house freshwater reservoirs onboard and are compatible with off grid solar systems.

  • We can design and build homes that are ready to have solar panels and batteries installed for off grid use.
